8 Hour IDI Traffic Course

8 Hour Intermediate Defensive Driving Class (IDI)

The 8 hour Florida Traffic School (DDS) (IDI) is a course normally ordered by the courts as part of a sentencing judgment. Some Florida counties allow you to take this course for a traffic ticket if you have already taken the 4 Hour Basic Driving Improvement Course in the last 12 months. Each county determines if this 8 hour course can be taken for a ticket. Please check with the county where you got the ticket before you take this class to satisfy your specific requirement. ADES Traffic School offers this Defensive Driving Course Online, In English and In Spanish.

The Intermediate Driver Improvement course is for the individual who has:

  • Received multiple traffic citations.
  • Received mandatory or serious traffic violations.
  • Been involved in numerous collisions.
This course DOES NOT satisfy the 8 Hour Aggressive Driver course or the Driving While License is Suspended course.
